Returns, Exchanges, and Statutory Cancellation Rights Policy

1. Overview
We want customers to be satisfied with their purchase. This policy explains commercial returns, exchanges, damaged items, and statutory cancellation rights that may apply in certain regions.
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
2. Standard Return Window
LEGACY accepts return requests within 30 days of confirmed delivery, subject to the eligibility conditions below.
3. Return Eligibility
To qualify for a standard return, the item must:
- Be unworn, unused, and unwashed.
- Be free from stains, odors, deodorant marks, makeup marks, pet hair, damage, or alterations.
- Include original tags, labels, and packaging where reasonably possible.
- Be returned with any protective packaging, hygiene liner, or product insert that formed part of the original item where applicable.
Returned products that do not meet these conditions may be refused or returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for standard returns unless defective or required by law:
- Gift cards.
- Final sale items.
- Clearance products marked as non-returnable.
- Personalized, customized, or made-to-order products.
- Opened intimate apparel, underwear, swimwear, or socks where a hygiene seal, liner, or protective packaging has been removed.
Items damaged by misuse, improper washing, improper care, or normal wear and tear.
5. EU and UK Statutory Cancellation Rights
For customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, online purchases may be subject to a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason within 14 days from the day the customer receives the goods, subject to legal exceptions.
If you exercise this statutory cancellation right, you must notify us within the applicable cancellation period. You are generally responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed to cover the cost or applicable law requires otherwise.
You must return the goods without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the returned goods or proof that the goods were sent back, where permitted by law.
We may reduce a refund if the value of the goods has been reduced because the goods were handled beyond what was necessary to inspect their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
6. Exchanges
Customers may request an exchange for a different size or color, subject to product availability and return eligibility.
LEGACY may provide one complimentary replacement shipment for the first approved size exchange per order within the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. Additional exchanges and exchanges for other international destinations may require shipping charges.
If the requested replacement item is unavailable, we may offer a refund, store credit, or an alternative product, where permitted by law.
7. Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:
- The wrong item was shipped.
- The item arrived damaged.
- The item contains a verified manufacturing defect.
- Applicable law requires LEGACY to cover the cost.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the return is caused by a LEGACY error.
8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, customers should contact LEGACY within 7 days of delivery at returns@legacytrendycity.com with the order number and clear photographs of the issue.
If the claim is approved, we may provide a replacement, exchange, refund, or store credit, depending on the issue and product availability. This section does not limit mandatory rights for faulty goods under applicable law.
9. Refunds
Once a returned item is received and inspected, we will notify the customer whether the return is approved or rejected.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Refund processing times vary by payment provider and bank, but usually take 5 to 10 business days after approval.
10. Return Process
- Contact returns@legacytrendycity.com with your order number and reason for return.
- Wait for return authorization and return instructions before sending the product back.
- Package the item securely to prevent damage during return shipment.
- Ship the item using a tracked service where possible.
- Keep proof of postage until the return is completed.
Returns sent without authorization may be delayed or refused.
11. Excessive Return Activity
To protect against misuse, LEGACY reserves the right to refuse returns, exchanges, promotional access, or future orders where there is unusual, abusive, fraudulent, or excessive return activity, subject to applicable law.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers are encouraged to contact LEGACY before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback. We may dispute fraudulent or incorrect chargebacks using order records, delivery confirmation, tracking information, customer communication, and other supporting evidence.
